What is Creative Arts Therapy?

Creative arts therapy is a form of therapy that uses creative activities as part of the work. Sessions are guided by a trained practitioner and are one option among other types of therapy.

At In the Making, sessions are shaped around the client rather than a set program. Artmaking is part of how sessions happen, with attention to pace and consent.

Who we work with.

The practice offers creative arts therapy for neurodivergent adults and youth (13+), including Autistic people and LGBTQIA+ clients.

The work may suit people drawn to creative or sensory-based ways of working, including those who prefer less talk-focused approaches. Engagement is based on fit with how the work happens, rather than on diagnosis.
